A website on the Dark Web, internet’s underworld where all sorts of illegal content can be shared or bought easily and anonymously, is urging users to help it raise money to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect Mike Pence.
CSO reports that this particular website went live previous week and allegedly is seeking assistance to conduct assassination of Trump and Pence. In fact, the website also shows a picture of president-elect Trump targeted.
The website is only accessible via Tor browser and therefore, it is not possible to detect its IP address. The message on the website reads:
“As you are all well aware, the consequences of having Donald Trump and Mike Pence as the leaders of the free world is extremely dangerous. The political, environmental and social consequences will change the United States for the worst.”
The website contains just a single HTML file. The donation is sought in bitcoins; the advertised wallet has collected over $88,000 since March whereas the newly launched website has managed to raise only $119 so far. The website owners have posted the reason for this fundraising.
“We have several assets in different branches of government, security and even some working in secret services. Unfortunately, the plan we need to implement requires a lot of money to pay for equipment, bribes and also to pay those assets. If you are like us and wish to see our plan succeed for our society’s, children’s and planet’s sake, you can donate anonymously…”
The latest development according to CSO is that a person claims to have hacked it and left a message in the website’s source code, which stated that the bitcoin wallet has been modified and it will no longer accept funds. The hacker(s) has also claimed that the person who developed and launched this website is a Canadian.
The message read: “He’s actually just a little scammer, but now he’s calling to murder the president-elect. I don’t see how anyone could sit back and watch someone doing that.”
“I actually planned to send an email to the United States Secret Service about him, but I can’t find an appropriate email address of the USSS, so I’ve to post this here. Please forward this message to the appropriate public authorities at your convenience,” the hacker added.
The website was promoting president-elect Donald Trump’s assassination campaign as an attempt to restore the society’s order.
“Rise of several white supremacist movements like the KKK and the neo-nazis…trying to eliminate other Americans of different origins cannot be tolerated. We, as a society has come too far to go back to this.”
The website’s owner also stated that this was a work of a famous organization that has always “defended and protected the rights of all people against crooked governments and regimes using different cyber attacks.”

The reason why Trump administration is one the receiving end of such enormous backlash is that a majority of those protesting the results believe that the people due to join the president’s cabinet have either direct or indirect ties with white nationalist organizations. Such as, according to BusinessInsider, Mike Pence has some most controversial stances on gay rights, abortion, and smoking LGBTQ community openly.
